

He was born on December 10, 1938 in Wayne, Michigan to the late George and Aretta (Malott) Cady.
Following High School Bill served in the United States Navy.
Bill married Jeanette (Mersch) Biggs on March 1988 in Fremont, Indiana.
He retired from Roadway Freight Lines after 40 years. He later worked at Pokagon State Park as head of security for 15 years.
Bill formerly was a Vice-President of the Teamsters Local 414, he was also a former President Buena Vista Addition for 25 years.
Bill and Jeanette loved living at Jimmerson Lake and spent the last 40 years together.
Bill loved to play golf, boating, and spending time on the lake. He also enjoyed attending church, bowling, spending time with the grandkids, and grandson Kenny says he made the best spam sandwiches. He was also a diehard IU fan and he loved his dogs, Oden, Bear and Bailey.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Cady of Jimmerson Lake, Fremont, Indiana, daughter, Sherri Collins of Jimmerson Lake, Fremont, Indiana, grandchildren, Josh (Jennifer) Collins of Brownsburg, Indiana, Tyler (Kyrstan) Biggs of Angola, Indiana, Brayton Biggs (Yaraliz) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Kaylie Biggs of Hillsdale, Michigan and Patia Hartman of New Haven, Indiana, step-grandsons, Tyler Wonders (Kasie) of Hillsdale, Michigan and Kenneth Wonders (Paige) of Coldwater, Michigan, great-grandchildren, Henry Collins, Armani Biggs, Athena Biggs, Adelaide Biggs, and Zaylin Biggs, surviving siblings, Aldica Wilson of Yoder, Indiana, Eugene (Kathy) Cady of Warren, Indiana, Helen Hietger of Oklahoma, Joan (Mike) Windsor of Oklahoma, Vickie (Rich) Miller of Tennessee, Mary (Dave) Wolf of Fort Wayne, Indiana, John (Candy) Cady of Florida, Janet (Wayne) Raeke of Ohio, sisters-in-law, Debbie Lobacz of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Janice Herrin of Lafayette, Indiana, Judy (Dennis) Shidler of Royal Center, Indiana, Joetta Sines of Royal Center, Indiana, brothers-in-law, John (Patricia) Mersch of Peru, Indiana, Joseph (Keri) Mersch of Plymouth, Indiana, and Jack Mersch of Fremont, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Bradley Biggs, a son-in-law, Jeffrey Collins, a grandson, Nicholas Collins and a daughter, Christine Cady, brothers, Jerome Cady, and Joe Cady, brothers-in-law, Robert Wilson and Steve Hietger and a sister-in-law, Jolene Loghrans.
Visitation will be held from 11 am until 1 pm Monday, January 19, 2026 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
Memorial Services will follow at 1 pm Monday, January 19, 2026 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Rev. Tracy Zimmerman will officiate the service.
Burial will be at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
