

Albert Stephen Wagner, 91, of Fremont died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Memorial Hospital. He was born in Oak Harbor on July 15, 1922 the son of Emmanuel and Caroline (Zehner) Wagner. On April 12, 1947 he married Rita Rodenhauser. He went Oak Harbor School for 7 years, Bower one room school house for 1 year and attended St. Joseph’s High School with the class of 1940. Albert was a farmer all his life. He and his wife still lived in the same Rice Township farmhouse that her parents built and she was born in. Albert was a hard worker, prior to automatic machines he milked his herd of 18 dairy cattle by hand and worked at the sugar beet factory during the winter months for 20 years. He enjoyed watching television and reading.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph’s Booster Club, St. Joseph’s Holy Name Society, Rosary Society and The Farm Bureau.
Surviving is his wife of 67 years, Rita Wagner, daughter, Judy Wagner and son, Stephen Wagner all of Fremont; grandchildren, Noah and Lyndee; great-grandchildren; Owen, Jay, Amber, Lyndee and Audrey; brother Thomas Wagner of Fremont, OH; sister, Sister Margaret Wagner S.N.D. of Toledo, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Nicholas, William, Donald, John, Charles, Vincent, Paul, Gilbert; sister, Sister Margaret Marie Wagner S.N.D., an infant sister, and two infant sons, David and Richard.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH with Rosary services at 7:30P.M. Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:30A.M. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
