Alfreda A. Bor, 99, of Fremont, died December 1, 2018, one month short of her 100th birthday. She was born January 8, 1919 in Fremont, the daughter of Teofil “Phillip” and Agnes Kadlubowski. On February 7, 1942 she married John J. Bor.
Alfreda enjoyed quilting, crocheting and knitting and gardening. She was an amazing cook with a passion for cooking traditional Polish foods, her pierogi and paczki were her specialties. She was a member of the former St. Casimir Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Guild. Her favorite pastimes include playing the organ, polka dancing and Sunday drives by the lake.
Surviving are her children: Jean Marie (Carroll) Darr and John L. (Linda) Bor both of Fremont, OH; son-in-law Andrew Parisi of Michigan; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 grandchildren and daughters Lois Cameron and Madeline “Linda” Parisi.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 4-6 P.M. where vigil services will begin at 5:30P.M. at Keller-Koch-Chudzinski Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH. Mass of Resurrection will take place at 10:00A.M. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan Street, Fremont, OH. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
