Dean Keith Seizert, family man, executive and leader passed away March 24, 2018 after 92 years of serving, teaching and mentoring others. He is remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father of 4, grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 12.
Dean was born June 29, 1925 in Blissfield, Michigan and spent most of his early years in Petersburg, Michigan. Upon graduation from high school he served in the U S Navy. Following WW II, he graduated from the University of Toledo, College of Engineering, and later received his Master of Business Administration. Dean spent his entire career with Columbia Gas of Ohio, first in Toledo and from 1968 until his retirement in 1985 as an executive in Columbus, Ohio. After retirement, he and his wife, Helen lived in the Toledo area and Fort Myers, Florida at the Seven Lakes Golf and Tennis Community. Dean was active in many professional and service organizations and served most as their President, including the Engineering Society of Toledo, American Society of Metals, University of Toledo Alumni Association and the Kiwanis Club of Toledo. He enjoyed golf, fishing, travel, carving and teaching lapidary.
Dean Seizert was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Helen on December 21, 2015. He is survived by his children and their spouses; Gerald (Candace), Ronald (Beth), Chad (Barbara) Seizert, Donna (Keith) Henson, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service and interment with Helen will be held at a future date.
