Lorraine Louise Petonke, 83, of Fremont died Sunday, August 19, 2018 at her residence. She was born April 8, 1935 in Fremont the daughter of Macjiej and Ludwicka (Kupka) Lotycz. Lorraine worked for Berlekamp Sign, Whirlpool and as a radiology clerk at Memorial Hospital.
She was proud of her Polish heritage, enjoyed international travel, watching classic movies, cooking, baking and reading. Lorraine was a former member of St. Casimir Church where she was a lector and choir member and later became a member of St. Ann.
Left to cherish her memory is son, David Petonke of Fremont; grandchildren: Kasia (Dan) Gruszka, Dustin Petonke, Dylan Petonke; sister Phyllis Heileman and many nieces and nephews, especially Kathy Hineline and Marsha Kiser who were always there to help in times of need.
She was preceded in death by her sons Dennis and Douglas; brothers: John and Joseph Lotycz; Edmond, Adolph, Edward, Stephen, John and Joseph Kupka; sisters: Dolores Raitz, Anna Rose Kiser, Stella Wilcznski, Angela Biehler.
A Memorial Mass will take place at 10:00A.M. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at St. Ann Catholic Church 1021 W. State Street, Fremont, OH. Rev. Michael Roemmele will officiate. A time of food and fellowship will take place immediately after services at Bishop Hoffman Hall. Memorial Contributions may be made to Catholic Education Development Fund or Donor’s Choice.
