

Loving companion and friend, Angelo DiBenedetto was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 17, 1918. The second son of four boys born to Luca and Lena DiBenedetto, much loved by family and friends.
At an early age Angelo performed in Italian Vaudeville. Later as a dancer, he would audition for the famous Ziegfield Follies. Although he did not continue in show business, he excelled in sports (golf and bowling were his favorites). He served in the military from 1942 to the end of WWII and was honorably discharged receiving awards and commendations. Afterwards, he worked for the city of New York as a supervisor. Always well liked, Angelo had the natural ability and charm to make and keep friends. He was an all-around good guy and will be sorely missed and remembered.
Angelo was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Pete; and great-grandchild Vincent.
He leaves behind Mary, his wife of 67 years; sons, Angelo Jr. and Frank; grandchildren, Vanessa and Frank Jr.
and great-grandchild Michael.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, August 15, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Friday, August 16, 2013, at 12:00 p.m. followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery.
