He was one of 5 children who grew up playing wiffle ball, basketball and marbles (he was a marbles champion). He also loved jumping into leaf piles with his siblings.
He moved to the Bay Area with his Tía Angie, where he later met his wife. They got married and had 2 children together.
He worked for many years as a QA technician as well as a warehouse shipping clerk.
He loved to grill for his family and enjoyed BBQ. He loved to watch baseball and basketball games. His teams were the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Lakers. He loved to play darts and came in 1st place in several tournaments. He also liked bowling and playing pool. He had a love for music. He was a fan of many genres: Rock, R&B and Soul. Some of his favorites were Santana, Stevie Wonder, Deep Purple and The Jacksons, just to name a few.
He is survived by his wife Hellene Garcia of Newark, California, his daughter Roseanna Ibarra, his son-in-law Benjamin and his grandsons Kristofer and Michael of Oceanside, California, his son Marcus Garcia of Encino, California, his sister Mary Helen Lopez of Clovis, California, His brothers, Manuel, Pablo, Arcadio and sisters-in-law, Beth and Lisa Garcia of Fresno, California and many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Yrungrary Garcia, and his father, Manuel Garcia.
A visitation will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, located at 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, California 93720, on September 18, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Saint John's Cathedral, 2814 Mariposa St, Fresno, California 93721, from 10:30 am.
Following the funeral mass service, a committal service will take place at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, 264 N Blythe Ave, Fresno, California 93706, at 12:00 pm.
