She is survived by both, Margaret Goodell and Cecilia Butcher. Barbara was 70 years young the day she went to be with Jesus. She has lived in Kerman, Ca. the last 48 years with her surviving husband Jerry Steffen. They married on August 1, 1964. Barbara has two daughters, Audrey Perryman and Amanda Brown that she adored. She also loved her sons-in law, Robert Perryman and Todd Brown. Her biggest pride and joy were her five grandkids, Sierra, Alexis, Chase, Jade, and Emma.
Barbara was a hair stylist for several years before she stayed at home and assisted her husband with taking care of the ranch and making a home for their family. After a few years she was blessed with her first daughter and shortly following her second. She loved taking care of the house and being a stay at home mom. She dedicated her life to her family. Barbara was involved in everything her daughters did. From being cheer mom, Booster Club President, and organizing the church dinners she never missed an event they had or a game they played in. She had an amazing gift of taking care of people and always making them feel welcome.
Barbara carried on her special gift to her grandchildren. She attended every awards presentation, sporting event, dance recital, school play, and any special event the grandchildren had. She loved spending time with them and watching them grow.
Barbara also loved taking trips with her family and friends. Whether it was to Bass Lake for relaxation and watching the grandkids play, Disneyland to be a part of the excitement the grandchildren shared or the many trips to Mexico with family and friends, if her family was going somewhere, she was not going to miss it.
Barbara had a way of making times spent with the family the most special anyone could ever ask for. She would do anything for her kids and grandkids and she showed it every day with her love and support.
