Mr. Ben Louis Lane

Ben graduated from Fresno State College on June 13, 1956. He married the love of his life, Marie Landry, on June 15, 1956. He served in the United States Air Force from March 25, 1957, to March 25, 1960. Ben had a 37 year career with Sears starting in Manchester Center in May of 1956. After 16 years as the

Pearlridge Store Manager in Aiea, HI, he retired in May of 1993. Ben was very active in Holy Spirit Catholic Church as a Reader and Eucharistic Minister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Ben Lane; and his dear uncle and aunt, Louis and Nina Bell.

He leaves behind Marie, his loving wife of 59 years; brother, John Lane; sister-in-law, Bridgette; and his six children, Margaret Kennedy, Susan Lane-Jean-Baptiste and her spouse Stanley, Mary Nakama, Michael Lane and his spouse Kay, Patrick Lane and his spouse Rina and Benjamin Lane and his spouse Tracey. Ben also leaves behind eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, February 26, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 10:00 a.m.
