

Bertha was a loving wife, sister and aunt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ching and all but one of her siblings. She enjoyed going to musical theatre in San Francisco with her husband for many years as season ticket holders. They were both active members in the Ice Skating Club of Fresno and the Fay Wah Club attending many banquets and events.
Bertha was an energetic and a spirited woman who achieved many personal goals including becoming a figure skater, licensed pilot, equestrian, scuba diver, beautician, belly dancer and even registered as "Ching Ching" the clown. She was a princess in the Rice Bowl and appeared on a float in the parade. She had been a medical secretary and travel agent and was proud to have received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business as an adult. She hand knitted many of her beautiful outfits including dresses and suits.
She traveled the world and her adventurous spirit took her to all corners of the globe. Locally she often traveled to the San Francisco Bay and Los Angeles areas to visit and stay with family. She lived most of her life in Fresno on Lamona Street and moved to Castro Valley to be with her sisters Laura and Esther and niece Delia in 2012.
She is survived by her sister, Esther Sam, many nieces and nephews and their children.
