Born on November 4, 1948, in Fresno, California, Beverly was a loving presence in the lives of all who knew her. Beverly graduated from Central High School in 1966 and attended Lyles Beauty College. Her career was marked by her dedication as a beautician, a school secretary, and a data transcriber for the IRS in Fresno, where she worked for 20 years.
In early 1969, Beverly was introduced to Lewis Gene Edwards by one of his shipmates, and they married on July 16, 1969. Their marriage was built on the foundation of friendship and love, a testament to their strong bond.
Beverly had a passion for knitting, crocheting, sewing, and doing diamond art. She cherished the time spent with her family and extended family, and often enjoyed trips to casinos and playing bingo. Music from the 50's and 60's often filled Beverly's home, and her favorite color was blue.
Her community involvement was extensive; she was instrumental in reestablishing the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 23 and played a key role in organizing the American Legion Convention of 2016. Beverly was a member of the Navy Wives Club of America, a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 23 in Sanger, California.
Beverly's perfect days were spent surrounded by her grandchildren, watching Disney Channel with them in her lap. She is remembered as a loving and compassionate person, always willing to help others. Family was of utmost importance to her, and the antics of her children and grandchildren could always bring a smile to her face.
Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Marin P. Santoni; her mother, Margaret Hill; and her stepmother, Tincy Santoni. Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Lewis Gene Edwards; her son, Peter Edwards and spouse Amy Sexton; her daughter, Megan Christensen and spouse Donovan Christensen; her grandchildren, Sierra Welter, Tyler Welter, Tiffany Tyler, Anthony Edwards, Adam Edwards, Addyson Baker, and Isabella Christensen; and her great-grandchildren, Jaqualin, Scotty, Lisa, and Emberlyn. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Young.
Beverly Lynn Edwards will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
