Carmen Pina Franco, a beloved and cherished individual, passed away on August 10, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on March 21, 1935, Carmen was a compassionate and devoted person, known for her faithful and generous nature. She was gentle and inspirational, a kind-hearted soul who touched the lives of many. Her loyalty, patience, and resilience were admired by all who knew her. Carmen was selfless and thoughtful, always putting others before herself, and her wise counsel will be greatly missed.
Carmen is survived by her daughters, Frances Martinez (Ernest Martinez), Gloria Solis (Mike Solis), Grace Gonzalez (Richard Gonzalez), Virginia Powell (Thomas Powell), Maria Louisa Bolanos (Joe Bolanos), and Susan Castle (Tory Castle). She also leaves behind her sons, Pete Gutierrez Jr. (Tinya Gutierrez-deceased) and Martin Gutierrez (Jason Tatterson).
The visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home, located at 1605 L Street, Fresno, CA 93721, on August 27, 2025, starting at 9:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the same venue at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Fresno Memorial Gardens, situated at 175 S. Cornelia Ave, Fresno, CA 93706, on the same day.
Pallbearers will include Perry Escamilla, David Escamilla, Michael Duarte, Justin Solis, Anthony Gutierrez, and Vincent Venegas.
Carmen's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, as her legacy of kindness and wisdom continues to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
