It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carmen Rodriguez who passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on January 11,2025 in San Diego, CA. Carmen was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and friend, who touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, devotion, and faith.
Born on May 21, 1938 Carmen was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, and she spent her early years in Firebaugh then Fresno. At the age of 21 she married her high school sweetheart, Greg Rodriguez, with whom she shared a loving and enduring marriage of over 58 years. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to each other and their family.
For the past five years, Carmen lived with her daughter, Laura, and her family in San Diego, finding great joy in being close to them during her golden years. It was a time she treasured deeply, and she was grateful for the love and care she received from them.
Throughout her life, Carmen had a heart for service. She and her husband owned and operated an alarm company for many years, where she took on the important role of managing the books, ensuring the business ran smoothly. In her later years, she found fulfillment in a different way, serving as an interpreter at a local elementary school, where her presence helped countless students and teachers alike.
A devout woman of faith, Carmen was an active and dedicated member of the Young Lady’s Institute, where she contributed her time and energy to the organization for many years. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she lived with a spirit of compassion, generosity, and love for others.
Carmen is survived by her daughter, Laura Donlon, son-in-law Jason, grandchildren Devon & Jake Donlon. Her son Greg Rodriguez Jr and grandchildren Mikayla & Gianna. Her sister Catalina Gonzales and many other family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
A Funeral Service will be held on April 3, 2025 at 10:00 am

where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and legacy.
Burial will take place at St Peters Cemetery and No reception to follow.
Carmen’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. She was a shining example of what it means to live with love, grace, and unwavering faith.
