

lost her long battle with cancer surrounded by all her family at her side.
Cecelia was born to Jose and Esther leal on December 18, 1942, in Indio,
California, she grew up in Fresno, California and attended West Park Elementary
and graduated from Washington Union High School in 1961. Cecelia worked at
Sun Valley Bakery for 5 years and retired from Vons Supermarket as a bakery clerk
after 20 years.
While a senior in high school, Cecelia met her partner in life, Fernando Rodriguez.
They would have been married 60 years this coming April.
Cecelia was full of life and tried to live life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling
with family and friends to the Bahamas, the Hawaiian Islands, throughout Mexico
and the USA.
In addition to traveling, Cecelia loved gardening, shopping for others, camping
and going to the casino. She also loved listening to music and to dance, especially
in her growing up years going to the Rainbow Ball Room. One of Cecelia's
greatest passions was cooking for friends and family, always making sure that
anyone who walked through her door was well fed. Everyone's favorite were her
beans and rice.
However, her greatest joy in life was her family. This included her husband
Fernando, her sons Fernando Jr and twins Eric and Rodney Rodriguez as well as
Eric's wife, Alicia Castillo. Her grandchildren include Jason, Brittany, Tiffany,
Rushelle, Michael and Mathew Rodriguez and Shawn, Vincent and Erica Castillo.
Cecelia also had 8 great grandchildren, whom she loved shopping TC:-.
Cecelia was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed going to her niece linda
Garza's softball games. She was also a season ticket holder for the Fresno State
football games and a donor to the Fresno State University sports and for the
Women's softball sports program.
Cecelia was a very special person she was so loved by her family and friends and
anyone who met her. She always thought about the needs of others. She will be
missed by all who knew her.
