For all his life, he was known as David Scott. David moved in the late forties to San Jose, California, then moved to Tranquillity in 1948. David attended Tranquillity Elementary School, while in elementary school, he met his future wife, Louise. David excelled in all sports: football, basketball, baseball. He also held the school record for years for the discus throw in track and field. He was excellent in driving and enjoyed swimming. David and Louise entered high school, where they became a couple in their senior year.
In October 1959, after graduating from high school, David started a career at a telephone company. He married Louis Barbieri in June 1961. David retired from the telephone company after thirty-five years in November 1994.
David was preceded in death by his father and mother; brothers, Jim, Roscoe, Charles; and sisters, Joy, Wanda, and Peggy.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Louise; his children, Robert and wife Diane, Nancilee and husband Guillermo; grandchildren, Jonathon Scott and wife Cassie, Mitchell Scott, Alec Lundstrom and wife Trisha, Lucas, Victor, Isabella, and Graciela Sandoval.
