

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Ed Carreiro, older brothers Eddie and Rick Carreiro, her soul mate/husband Ron F Contreras of over 50 years, she and Ron’s best friend, Larry Shultz.
Sherry is survived by her mother in law, Barbara Contreras, her aunts Maxine Thomas and Peggy Lovitt, two children: Chief Contreras and wife Reena, Chandy Nuño and husband Martín, grandchildren (her pride and joy) Luke and Hannah Contreras and Alex Nuno, Nieces and Nephews: Renee Carreiro and two daughters Ashley and Andrea, Ester Martinez, Barbi Cavalla, and James Phillips and her partner in crime, baby niece Lorissa Érica Ruiz: cousins Brenda Gail, Bonnie Jo, Suzie and Sandi: Best friends John and Yogi Villanueba and their children whom she called her nieces and nephews (Chris, Carol, Becky and Corrine): her “boys” that called her mom and helped look after her, Pep Garcia and Anthony Ramirez and lastly her furry grand dogs: Ghost and Güera Nuno and Rocky Contreras.
P.S. Mom, we will continue on in yours and dads honor and know that you are finally at peace and free of oxygen to roam the gardens with Mamow and Dad to smell the flowers as you wanted. Also, we take peace in knowing we were able to grant your final wishes of being called to paradise at home, in your bed, free of pain, no suffering with Chandy and Rissy holding your hands so you were not alone. Until we meet again, we love you and will miss you dearly. Xoxo
Visitation will be held at Stephens and Bean Chapel on Sunday 8/23 from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 N. Teilman Ave., Fresno, CA., 93706
at 10:00 A.M. on Monday 8/24.
Following the Service a small reception will be held at Chandy Nuno's house.
