While Consuelo was only a few months old, her mother, Carmen Cuadros, passed away. Her father, Pete Ruiz adored his little daughter and treated her like a little princess.
Later on when Consuelo was Eleven years old, her dad, Pete Ruiz, remarried to Valvina and Consuelo inherited 7 siblings as a blended family. Since Consuelo's dad was a great cook and a Baker, she acquired this skill and was able to cooked and helped take care of her siblings.
As Consuelo turned Eighteen, she worked in a restaurant until she got married. She met her husband, J C Zeno later and had four children, Joseph, Kenneth, Kathy and Brenda.
Consuelo, now known as Connie Zeno, was a hard working housewife who had the privilege of staying home and taking care of the kids while her husband worked. She was always there for all of us when we came home from school as we looked forward to her delicious meals that she would make, especially her amazing fried chicken and Banuelos that she would make for us as we finished our homework and watched TV as a treat. Our mom worked tirelessly in taking care of us especially when our dad had to go out of town for work.
Our mom was always giving to different charities and ministries, especially to St. Jude's hospital. She had a heart for people that no one else seemed to care about, like she was the only one that wrote to her sister-in-law's son, when he was going through a really tough time in his life, which I know he was very grateful for.
Connie Zeno is survived by her two sons, Joseph Zeno, Kenneth Zeno and her daughter, Brenda Purdie and is now united with her loving husband, J C Zeno and her precious daughter, Kathy Zeno in eternal rest. She had several grand children, which are; Joseph Zeno, Jr., Joseph Barragan-Zeno, Dominick Barrigan-Zeno, Moses Barragan-Zeno, Joshua Cruz, Julius Cruz, Brian Zeno, Isaiah Zeno and also several great grand children, Amaya, Aria, Astrid, Amira and Ezra Zeno.
The Zeno family would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all of you that have come out to pay your respects in honoring Connie Zeno in her homegoing. Thank you for all of your flowers, cards, prayers, letters, kind words of remembrance and your condolences to the family as they are very much appreciate it.
