Frank passed into the Lord’s heavenly arms on July 28, 2024. He was born to Jesus and Maria Cruz in Mexicali, B.C. Mexico. At five years old, his family immigrated to Tulare, CA where he graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1980. Obtained a degree from UC Santa Cruz before settling in Fresno, CA. He was a Field Representative for nearly 15 years for California Correctional Peace Officers Association (CCPOA).
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Preceded in death by his mother, Maria Cruz and brother-in-law, George Amaro. Survived by Jenny Amaro (wife), Cristian Cruz (son), Jesus Cruz Sr. (father), Deanna Escamilla (stepdaughter) and Kayla Bustamante (granddaughter).
Survived by his siblings: Jesus Jr. (Christina), Rebecca (Scott Conway), Raul (Ana), Ted (Juanita), and Cecilia Alaniz (Pablo). Leaves behind many nieces and nephews that he held close to his heart.
Upon marrying Jenny, his circle of family grew and will be missed by sisters-in-law Carmen Amaro Martinez (Jose), Maria Amaro Morales (Robert), and their families.
Frank was a generous man who loved and cherished his family and friends. He shared his laughter and time and will be missed greatly. The family thanks the nurses and staff of Clovis Community Hospital for their exceptional care. A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Friday, August 16th at 10:00 a.m.
