Gregory Thomas Valerio, 54, of Fresno was suddenly called home to be with his Savior on July 23, 2020. Greg was born in Oneida, NY on December 21, 1965 to James Thomas Valerio and Evelyn Watson Valerio. Before he turned two the family relocated to Vallejo, CA with subsequent moves to Paradise, Sacramento and Carmichael. He has been a resident of Fresno for the past 24 years.
He graduated from Rio Americano High School in Sacramento and attended American River College before beginning a career in accounting.
Some of Greg’s favorite things were spending time with special friends, Hawaiian music, Gaither Homecoming videos, and playing games on the computer with people from around the world. He was an avid reader, possessed a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed helping others especially if they needed computer advice.
Greg is survived by his father James Valerio of West Sacramento, mother and stepfather Evelyn and Stephen Anderson of Jamestown, sister Vera Paucarima and niece Shalaia Shelley both of Belmont, uncle Rob and aunt Laurie of Carmichael, very dear friends Doug and Toby Harrison of Stephenville, TX and many cousins scattered around the country. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Kenneth and Dorothy Watson with whom he had a special relationship.
Our hearts are broken but we take comfort in the assurance we have that this separation is only temporary. No services are planned at this time.
