Inez R. Scheidt, passed into eternal life on February 3, 2020. She was born in Scobey, Montana on August 11, 1926 and spent her childhood years in Klamath Falls, Oregon. After high school, she relocated to Los Angeles and worked in the payroll department of the Golden State Milk Company. When her parents, Leona and Charlie Dutton, moved to Fresno, Inez soon made the area her home. She met Ted, her future husband, just before the end of the 1946 Valentine's Dance at the Rainbow Ballroom. Married for over 52 years, Inez and Ted partnered in farming their vineyard along the bluffs of the San Joaquin River. There, Inez flourished as a mother and homemaker.
Mrs. Scheidt was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore 'Ted' C. Scheidt. She is survived by her daughters, Lynda Gray, M.D. and her husband Randolph Buresh of Fresno and Teresa MacAlpine and her husband Major (Ret) Steven MacAlpine of Fresno; son, David Scheidt of Modesto; grandchildren, Christine Robbins and husband John of San Antonio, Texas and Paul MacAlpine of Laguna Hills, California; great-grandchildren, Emery and Boone Robbins of San Antonio, Texas; brother-in-law Colonel (Ret) Richard J. Scheidt of Fresno; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. Private interment will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
