He was surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was born in Mexico to the late Bernabe and Dolores De La Torre Galicia on May 15th, 1936 in San Rafael, Jalisco. Isidro immigrated to the United States at the age of 17 from Mexico through the Bracero Program. He spent most of his life as a farmworker and eventually became a successful farm labor contractor. He helped countless friends and family members immigrate to the U.S. and provided job opportunities for them. He was a member of the United Farm Workers and marched alongside Cesar Chavez for farmworker rights.
Isidro was blessed with a large and loving family his entire life. He met his wife Isabel De La Torre Medina in the United States and married her on March 19th, 1965 in Fresno, Ca. Isidro helped raise seven children, and taught them the value of hard work with love and discipline. He spent most of his free time with his family taking them on long trips to Mexico, camping, and hunting. He was loved dearly by all of his children.
Isidro is survived by his wife Isabel, his three sons Alexander, Isidro Jr., and Roberto; daughters Carmen, Elizabeth, Sonia and Marizela; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
