Jacob A Mooradian

Jake graduated from Selma High School where he enjoyed playing football. In his twenties, Jake ventured to Los Angeles to work at Lockheed Aircraft Corporation. He served in the United States Army during WWII in the Philippines and Japan. After returning home to Selma, he began his life long career as a raisin grower on the family farm. Jake’s passions were spending time with relatives and friends, farming, fishing and enjoying Armenian music. Jake was a member of the Selma Triple X Fraternity, the Selma chapter of the V.F.W. and Raisin Advisory Commission.

Jake is survived by his sister, Roxie Moradian; his son, Dick Mooradian; daughter, Caron and her husband Mike Hope; and long time companion, Gwen Sellers. Jake has 3 grandchildren, Cara, Breana, and Jacob.

Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home at 1605 “L” St. in Fresno on Thursday, September 2, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
