James was born in Floral, Arkansas on July 23, 1926 and passed away in Fresno California on October 19, 2013.
He taught Spanish and remedial English at Caruthers High School in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
James is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jo Ann Gottfried; daughter Jeannine Ketcheside and her husband, Keith; sons Donald Gottfried, Paul Gottfried and Michael Gottfried and his wife Jana; five grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at Copper Springs Church, 1363 5th Street, Clovis on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
