Janet Lea Talbot

Janet Lea Talbot left her temporary home and entered into the light of God’s face on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Jan had a wonderful sense of humor, a love of nature, birds, and especially cats. She was a natural athlete, loved music, played many instruments, and was a talented artist. Jan had a passion for nursing and enjoyed a nursing career of almost 30 years.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Jessie Measell, her daughter Michele Talbot, her husband Lionel Talbot, her niece Andrea Baggs, and her sister Audra Hendricks.

Jan is survived by her brother Richard Measell and his wife Judy Measell; her sister Francis (Frannie) Baggs and her husband Steve Baggs; her niece and god-daughter Donna Marie Shepherd and her husband Joseph (Rob) Shepherd; her brother-in-law Gaylen Hendricks; her nephew Andrew Hendricks and his wife Dawn Hendricks; her nephew Chris Hendricks; her nephew Mark Measell and his wife Melody Measell; and many great nieces and nephews.

Jan shared with her close family on several occasions over the past year that she was looking forward to going to heaven. She could not wait to be reunited with Michele and Lionel. She was ready to see our precious Lord and have the mystery of Heaven revealed to her.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Janet will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4636 W Dakota Ave, Fresno, CA 93722.
