Janice Ruth Lamm, age 84, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 knowing how much her family loved her. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Donald Leroy Lamm, on Monday, February 19, 2018. She was born on May 15, 1938 and was a lifelong resident of Fresno, CA. She was a homemaker, but enjoyed her substitute secretarial work for Fresno Unified School District for a number of years until joining Don in retirement. She is survived by her two children, Debbie Buckman and her husband, Mike; Scott Lamm and his partner, Ken Mitchell; and her grandson Matthew Buckman and his wife Deleana Quan. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and dog parent to many dogs over the course of her life.
She was an extremely gifted seamstress, award-winning quilter, and loved using her talented hands for crocheting, embroidery, needlepoint, and other crafts. She loved the sport of soccer, could name teams, players, and stats better than most. She and Don traveled all over the state to watch their beloved Matt play soccer from kindergarten through college.
She and Don enjoyed 50+ years of traveling in their various travel trailers. Their annual fishing trips to the Klamath with family members were much anticipated, along with their travels to Canada and the Central Coast. Every trip started with Willie Nelson’s, “On the Road Again” cranked high, prayers for a safe trip, and great, big smiles!
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center, the Animal Compassion Team, or Happily Ever Esther Pet Sanctuary.
Graveside services will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 18th at 11:00 a.m.
