Janie's radiant smile and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. A 1981 graduate of Hoover High School, Janie worked in the retail sector for many years before dedicating the last 21 years of her life to caring for her father, Ed, and her son, Matthew. She embraced the role of caregiver with compassion and devotion, and her love was especially felt through her wonderful cooking and daily acts of care.
Janie was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Girado.
She is survived by her father Ed, her beloved son Matthew, her brother Stan (Jennie), and her sister Jennifer. She also leaves behind nephews Daniel (Addie) Girado and James (Nancy) Girado, as well as her niece Sarah Girado.
A private family ceremony will be held at a later date to honor Janie's life.
