Jean was known for her great sense of fashion and humor. She loved riding horses, cooking and dancing. She was a talented seamstress.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Jean will be missed by all whose lives were touched by her presence.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Joe Aranaz after a marriage of 72 years. She also leaves behind her sister, Phyllis Provenzano, of Fresno; her sister-in-law Fermina Harvey of Fresno; her daughter, Janet Mattson and her husband John, of Moraga; and her son, Joel Aranaz and his wife Juanita, of Fresno. Jean leaves behind five loving grandchildren, Matthew and Elisabeth Treadway, and Carey, Julie and Kelly Aranaz. She also leaves behind her step granddaughter, Jessica Mattson Jordan and her husband Chris and one year old son Brian.
