

Jeffrey passed away November 2, 2012 in a local hospital after a sudden illness. He was greatly loved by his family and will always be remembered as a most wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
Jeff was born in Hanford, Ca. on October 15, 1946, the eldest son of Elizabeth and Glenn Carpenter. In 1967, he married Pamela Curley. They moved to Fresno right after the wedding and have continuously lived in Fresno these past 45 years!
Jeff was a computer systems analyst. He worked for GESCO (Guarantee Savings computer corporation) FISERV corporation, and the Fresno County computer and pro- bation departments. He retired from Fresno County in 2009.
In retirement, Jeff and Pam traveled to Ireland, and because of his love of American History they visited Boston, Philadelphia, Gettysburg, New Or- leans, Washington DC, Williamsburg, Florida, Hawaii and many other American Historical Sites. When Home, Jeff was busy taking care of the 'family horses, goats, cats, and his constant canine companion "Cody".
He is survived by his wife, Pamela; children, Kathleen and Jason Carpenter; and grandson, Lucas Carpenter all of Fresno. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael Carpenter and his wife Kathleen; and Jim Carpenter and his wife Pamela also of Hanford.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Hanford.
