Jerry was the youngest of 10 children. He met the love his life Jacqueline and soon after they were married and he went off to the Navy where he learned the electrical trade. He loved the trade and mastered it. His next adventure was raising his two boys Timothy James and Brett Ray. Jerry loved his boys and his boys loved him, and by honoring their father, they followed in his footsteps successfully in the electrical industry.
Jerry retired from the electrical trade and spent time with his boys and many grandchildren. Later, after he was tired of not working, he went to work part time for Home Depot. He soon became known as the Home Depot Man". He was a shy man that kept himself, but when he got the chance to talk about the electrical trade and help others, he could talk all day long.
Jerry was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in September of 2010. He battled through 8 chemo treatments and 39 radiation treatments like a champ. In September of 2011 his cancer had spread to his brain and shortly after he left this earth to be God’s electrician.
Jerry was a fighter, a great man, and family man that never asked why me or wanted sympathy from anyone. He had a wonderful spirit that will live on through his children and grandchildren.
We will miss our husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. We all love you very much!
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Satterlee; his sons, Timothy Satterlee and his wife, Rosemary Satterlee; Brett Satterlee and his wife, Stacie Satterlee; grandchildren, Britni, Nathaniel, Tobin, Nikki, Lauren and Stephanie; great grandchild, Austin; brother, Walter Hubert Satterlee and his wife, Sharon Satterlee; and numerous nephews and nieces.
