Grandpa,
I never thought that the last pictures I took with you would be on my birthday just a couple of months ago. I remember how excited you were when you asked to be the first one to take a picture with me. You always loved to take pictures. I still don’t understand why this tragedy had to happen all of a sudden and why you had to be taken from us the day before Father’s Day. Only God knows, and we know that you are now in peace with Him, watching over us all. We all love you so much Papa and while this is so devastating and painful for us, we know you are smiling seeing all of us here together. Thank you for always being such a thoughtful, selfless, and giving person. That is always how you will be remembered. I’ll never forget our talks, especially the one under your tree in your backyard that you cherish so much. I appreciate how much you valued our time together and for loving spending time with me when I was a baby and as I grew up. I know I will see you again and that until then you are with us everywhere we go. I love you 🙏🏽✝️❤️

I loved visiting with Jesus and Reyna. Though me being part of the family has be relatively short, I always felt as though I was at my own grandparents home. A home filled with love and family. I’ll never forget the smile he had when I was introduced to him. The same smile he has when he see his family, and I consider myself lucky to have been part of his family. During family gatherings Jesus would tell me time and time again how he thanked God for having his family together  and how blessed he was to see it. I’ll cherish and carry those memories with me and never forget how blessed I am to have known him. 

I will always remember the joy grandpa exuberated.His smile would light up the room every time he saw his family gathered together. He was the first one to offer a chair, tamale or helping hand. I am forever grateful for the dances we shared together as well as the beautiful prayers he bestowed upon my husband and I's marriage. 

My dad was a wonderful man loved by many . There is nothing he wouldn’t do for us and anyone. He was a hard worker until his last day . You took care of all your children and my mother . I’m going to miss you everyday daddy , your jokes and dancing. You were my dancing partner ☹️  I love you so much , life will never be the same . 😭😭😭💔💔💔 Thank you for being our protector. We will share all your memories at our gathering anyways, you will still be with us forever .  We will take care of Mom ! Love you Daddy ❤️🙏🏼😭💔📿🕊✝️

Jesus Sanchez valued the unity of family, forgiveness, friendships, and the blessings that come from faith and hard work. He always wanted to provide for his family. I found happiness in his acceptance like all of his family and friends. Jesus Sanchez was my father in law.  A man who taught me optimism along with his loving wife, my mother in law, Reyna. Their example of love for each other and for the family is what I learned from them.
