Dearest Armas family,

So very saddened to hear of John's passing...I will always remember fondly the many times he came in to have lunch at our house when mom was cooking some special Basque dish ( like pig's feet! )...always so funny, kind and loving!..Arms Around You All...Janet Silveira Sutro

Hi. I had never had the pleasure of meeting  John but I dated Rick when we were at Fresno State.  He was an AGR frat guy and I was Phi Mu.  Rick and I spent one New Year's in Occidental California with a bunch of friends that lived in Santa Rosa but went to Fresno State.  Rick actually thought it would be fun one day to show me how to hoe cotton - then we swam in some ditch later in the day. It is a very fond memory.  
I say all of this because Rick was such a sweetheart of a guy. He was polite, well mannered, actually pretty funny.  Rick must have had a good set of parents and I am sure that his father was the leader of the pack.  I am sorry for
 you loss.
