

John P. (Jack) Chamberlin was born 9/29/1925 in Seattle, WA and passed away 2/4/2017 in Fresno, CA. He was preceded in death by his son John Phillip Chamberlin and his 3 brothers Verne, Tom, and Walter Chamberlin.
Jack enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 18 years old and served in the South Pacific participating in the battle of Leyte Gulf during WWII on a 22-man gun crew. He returned to Weiser ID where he worked in his father's automobile business. There he met and married June Brummett and started a family. 17 years later they moved to Visalia, CA and then to Southern California in 1972. In 1983 they moved back to the valley and started a "family" real estate business, Westland Realty and Investment Company, in Fresno.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, June Chamberlin, his three daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Thom Miller, Norma and David Schmidt, Jennifer and Bryan Martin, 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, many nieces and nephews, and friends, some who called him "Grandpa Jack."
Jack enjoyed coffee with friends at the donut shop, golf, and he deeply loved Jesus.
Private burial will take place on Friday 2/24/2017 at the San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA and a Celebration of Life will be held at Wedgewood, 4584 W. Jacquelyn Ave., Fresno, CA 93722 at 10:30 a.m. Saturday 2/25/2017.
