

John Massicci was born on May 9, 1952, in Fresno, CA and passed away on December 3, 2025 at the age of 73. John passed away peacefully at his home in Fresno, CA with his wife and two children.
John was the oldest son of Louis and Flora Massicci. He attended C.L. McLane High School and graduated in 1970. John worked for the County of Fresno for over 30 years as a mechanic who repaired sheriff patrol vehicles.
John was the president of the Pan Draggers hot rod and custom car club of Fresno. He enjoyed the many rod runs and other events with car enthusiasts from the Central Valley including a special final run to Victoria British Columbia where he and Janet celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. John loved anything with wheels, especially if you could modify it to make it look better. You could say that cars were his “first love.”
John is survived by his wife Janet, who he was married to for over 30 years, and their two children; son John Paul (and wife Maria); daughter Michelle, as well as their six grandchildren; Eliana, Diego, and David (John Paul) and Leo, Lucas, Lily (Michelle). John is also survived by his mother Flora Massicci; brother Lou Massicci and his wife Becky and their two boys Michael (and his wife Renee) and Ryan (and his fiancé Hannah). He was preceded in death by his father Louis Massicci, Sr.
The mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM; Holy Spirit Catholic Church 355 E. Champlain Dr. Fresno, CA 93730 with Interment at Fresno Memorial Gardens. A viewing and rosary will not be offered.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
