He went on to become a noted entrepreneur in both Real Estate and the Dining Industry. After opening his first successful restaurant, El Cid on Blackstone, he went on to open multiple locations servicing the Greater Fresno area for over 10 years. John also loved camping, fishing, games of chance, as well as staying up to date with politics by watching his favorite channel, CNN.
He is survived by his daughters, Michele and Melinda Rocha, his sisters, Rosie Amesquita and Mary Lou Frutoz and his brothers, Adam Rocha and Frank Rocha.
A Rosary for John will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, 10:00 am at Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 L Street, Fresno, CA 93721. Following the Rosary will be a graveside service, 2:00 pm at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 Mc Cabe Rd., Santa Nella, CA 95322.
