

Joe Rivas Beltran was born in Merced, California on July 4th, 1943. He went home peacefully to the Lord on November 8, 2014 at the age of 71. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Lupe Beltran, whom have met him at the Gates of Heaven and now they will dwell in the House of the Lord forever. Joe was a compassionate, generous, extremely intelligent and graduated valedictorian of Edison High school in 1962. Joe served in the Navy. He was a caring Father, Brother, Grandfather and loving individual to whom all he met. Joe loved his parents dearly, his children and grandchildren were the love his Life. Joe loved Family and festivities. He downright loved to party and dance. He loved music, especially, mariachis. He was a practical joker just like his Dad. Joe loved cooking, barbecuing. One summer Joe built a huge deep pit to roast a pig at Mama and Papa's house for our family. His biggest celebration was his birthday, 4th of July. He had many hobbies. He had the gift of intelligence for building and restoring properties and classic automobiles.He started several businesses at a young age. He thrived as a businessman, even as a young boy at the age of seven Joe was driving a tractor helping out in the town of Sanger on the Rosconi Ranch. They loved Joe so much, my parents said that that always wanted to adopt Joey.
Joe loved and enjoyed life to the fullest and has left our family with beautiful memories. Joe is survived by his first wife, Nancy. They were married in June of 1964, whom they had two loving children: His eldest son, Troy and his beautiful daughter, Melissa. Carla whom they had: Eric, Jennifer and Juan Susan whom they had: Joey II, Angela, and Nick. His grandchildren: Michael, Ashley, Kimberly, Brian, Gianna and Little Jerry. His brothers: Jess, John, Rick, Angel, Robert, Edward and Peter. His Sisters: Mary, Linda and Lupe. And loving brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and an infinite number of beautiful friends.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
