

Joseph Reyes, a resident of Fresno for many years, passed peacefully with his loving family by his side, he was 101 years old. Dad was born in El Modena, California. Dad was married to his wife Gloria until her passing in 2015, they were married for more than 60 years.
Together they had four sons, Steve and wife Lisa Reyes, Ernest and wife Grace Reyes, Tom and wife Hilda Reyes, Joe Jr. and wife Denise Reyes. Joe also left behind seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Dad was a veteran of WWII, landing on Omaha Beach, Normandy France June 13, 1944.
As a boy, Dad lived through the Great Depression. In those years he helped his father sell bricks, and hay in Obregon Sonora Mexico.
Dad often spoke of his childhood, riding his bike on Bunker Hill rd., and Sunset in LA. Running around with his brothers Val and Gene, getting into mischief.
Dad was a Diesel Mechanic in the Fresno area for many years.
He taught us how to work on our cars and the value of keeping them maintained.
Dad will be missed for sure but will take great comfort knowing he is reunited with his bride in heaven.
Joe loved his family very much, he cared for his wife when she was sick, providing for her and his sons the best he could and that was more than enough. He has run the race, enduring hardship, but never complained. He knew the world at war but also took great pride in knowing he helped bring peace. Love you, proud of you.
Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, located at 929 Harvard Ave, Clovis, CA 93612, on January 14, 2026, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Belmont Memorial Park, located at 201 N. Teilman Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
