Julia has loved the Lord since childhood and was an avid studier of the Bible. She enjoyed reading, she even had a book club with her friends after retirement. She also loved to visit tea rooms and go for drives to the beach. She taught elementary school for over 30 years and was very involved with church, specifically, Saint Paul United Methodist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas and in Fresno, California, Valley Christian Center and People's Church . Julia married her sweetheart, James, in 1965 and they had four children together. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage before the Lord called him home.
Julia is survived by daughter Elizabeth Adams; daughter Deborah Sanchez (Lewis); daughter Melanie Hemaidan (Omar); son David Foxx (Bethany); sister Ann Eason (Ed) and brother Clinton Melton (Pat). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren (Max, Betty, Chris, Kamryn, Dylan, Jayden, Mason, Tyler and Luke) and 9 great grandchildren.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband James Foxx; father Adam Clinton Melton and mother Juanita Florence Goodlow.
An interment for Julia will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Clovis Cemetery, 305 N. Villa Ave., Clovis, CA.
A Celebration of Julia's Life will be held at Peoples Church on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
