Katherine "Kay" Facio

Kay graduated from a nursing certificate program and held various jobs in her long life. These included nursing, agriculture and in various Fresno parish offices.

Kay passed peacefully and in the presence of family. She was also attended to by many friends at Pacific Gardens; the family is very appreciative of their care and comfort for their mother.

Her ready wit, feistiness and story-telling will be sorrowfully missed by all.

Kay was preceded in death by her brothers, John Espitallier of Fresno and Ed Espitallier of Santa Barbara. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Rochelle R. Facio; and one grandson, John Calles, Jr.

Her passing is mourned by daughters, Veronica Garcia of Nevada, Yvonne Lopez of Fresno, Linda McAlister and husband Ray of Stockton, CA, Stephanie Farrughia and husband Charles of San Francisco, CA, Francesca Eidson and husband, Robert Inabnit of Fresno, and Felicia Korth and husband Larry of Fresno. She will be missed by sons, Michael J. Lopez of Fresno, Rudy Facio and wife Lupe of Kerman, and Alan Facio of Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. Kay also has 18 grandchildren and numerous great, and great-great grandchildren.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at the Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Ch- urch on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
