I was sorry to hear about Kay. I enjoyed all the opportunities to teach with her, share with her, laugh with her. She was a good friend and a wonderful teacher both to new trainers and AIMS participants across the country.  We have lost an amazing avocate for good teaching practices. Kay was such a wonderful and loving Aunt.  I have many great memories of her.  I spent my 21st birthday at their house and she was at mine for my daughters first birthday.  We will love you and miss you always.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, Kay hosted a beautiful baby shower for my husband and I. The beauty of that day will be a memory I will treasure forever.
 After my dad passed away, Kay sent a card that said she knew that I now had a big hole in my heart. That hole has been made larger with her passing. Thank you Kay, I will always miss you.

Kay's kind and generous spirit touched me the moment we first spoke.  It was my privilege to have known her.

It has warmed my heart reading about Kay. She was my neighbor for 3 1/2 years. We will miss her at the neighborhood get togethers. She was such a kind and generous individual. Thank you Kay, you were a wonderful mentor to me!  Our loss is Heaven's gain.

I am so grateful to have had the chance to get to know this exceptional woman. Her intelligence, attention to detail and warm, generous heart made her a unique combination of comforting and enchanting. I will never forget her.

Kay's mentoring and kind caring ways put a stamp on my teaching practices. I am greatful to have had her in my life.

Kay was a true teacher. I admired her quiet calm and her sweet spirit. Our loss is heaven's gain.

I will cherish the memories of my visits with her forever! She was such a kind-hearted person. Rich and I will truly miss her.

Kay touched so many of us at AIMS and all the educators across the United States. She was a true teacher and an excellent role model! I know she is in heaven teaching  everyone about AIMS! I will miss her very much!

It was truly a blessing to know Kay. She will be truly missed. Tracy and I pray for peace and comfort for her family during this time.

Each time I saw Kay I felt such a sense of calm comfort. When she was listening to you she made you feel as if your thoughts were being heard and were important to her. She was a woman full of grace and dignity and I will miss her sorely.

It is with great sadness that I write this.  Kay was a very special friend and I will miss our time's visiting at Starbucks. She brought great joy to my life and I loved her dearly.  I'll miss you my friend.  My deepest sympathy to her family.

When I first met Kay , she was facilitating a session at a regional math conference. I immediately found her inspiring.  I continued to have great respect and admiration for her amazing work as a master teacher and AIMS leader.  I also applaud  her open and loving attitude toward all the people she taught and mentored as well as toward the lessons she created.  Kay will be sorely missed by all of us at AIMS, but her inspiration and memories will live on.

Kay was an awesome mentor and friend! She believed in the best for teachers and their students. Through her kind spirit and leadership skills many lives will continue to be blessed. Peace to all who loved her.

It is with deep sadness and a grateful heart that I remember Kay.  While I mourn the loss of her presence, I treasure the impact she had on my life.  Her positive outlook and warm smile brightened every day.  She had an amazing ability to see a challenge as an opportunity to grow and was a powerful role model for everyone she met.  Her dedication to AIMS benefited trainers and teachers as she inspired us to strive for excellence and make the most of every day.  She always spoke lovingly of her family and I pray that you are comforted by many wonderful memories.

Michelle and I remember first encounters with Kay in Fresno in the late 80's.  She had a great sense of humor. The chats and creative plots to sneak wine onto a 'dry' campus allow for smiles in the midst of this sadness. Kay's innovative ideas and lighthearted spirit have helped to forge how we continue to teach today.

Shock and sadness indeed; prayers of course. I'm reflecting on my last agenda planning conversation with Kay, for last summer's Dyersburg TN session ... now a treasured memory. She was indeed among the many blessings of AIMS!

Kay shared her excitement for AIMS with so many of us. She was a true educator until the end and thousands have benefited from her expertise. I am sorry for your loss, as well as ours.

It was a privilege to learn at the feet of a master teacher. I guess, in a way, Kay lives on in the lives of all of us blessed enough to have been in her classes.  My condolences to her family.

Kay is like a flower that produced thousands of seeds, that each will produce thousands of seeds.  She planted the concepts of powerful teaching and learning in each person she met and worked with. Her impact will be evident in every science or math lesson taught by each AIMS teacher, multiplied by each class, by each year.  She has positively changed the world and we would like to thank you for sharing her with us. She will always be in our hearts.

I am proud to have called Kay a friend. She will be truly missed by her AIMS friends. She touched the lives of thousands of teachers. My hope is that she is free from pain and reunited with Bill. My deepest sympathies to her family.

Kay inspired me to be a better teacher and a better person.  Her positive outlook and zest for life made her so much fun to be around.  She touched many lives and the world is better for it.  Know that thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

I was truly blessed to have the office right next door to Kay for the past few years.  I will miss our spontaneous talks; whether they were about teaching math, learning theory, our common neck surgeries, or our mutual love for Corvettes, they were special times and it is hard to think about not having her right next door to pop over and talk to any more.  She was a special person, cared deeply about what she did and who she worked with, and put everything that she had into the task at hand.  Kay - you were loved and will be missed!

It is with a sadness that I write how very sorry I was to hear of Kay's passing. She was a dear woman and a wonderful blessing to get to work with. You have my greatest sympathy.
