Our beloved son, brother, uncle and great uncle, Larry Askew left us on April 17, 2024, at age 62. His pain is gone and his wish to “go be with dad” has come to be. He led a miraculous life and was an absolute gift to all of his friends and family. Born with hydrocephalus, he faced great challenges throughout his life, but accomplished so much. He graduated high school, drove a car and held a job at the VA hospital for 20 years. This last year he suffered through multiple hospitalizations and surgeries, but his severe head pain never resolved. We can’t imagine a world without Larry yet we are thankful that he is now at peace. We love you Larry.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Askew. He is survived by this mother, Carol Askew, sister, Melinda Downing, brothers, John Askew and David Askew, niece, Marilyn Carlson, nephews, Maxwell Carlson and Dillon Askew, great nephews, Pierce Auston-Carlson and Greysen Askew, as well as many extended family members and friends.

A memorial service for Larry will be held Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
