Levurn(Lee) Banks was born in Helena, Arkansas to Fannie and Joseph Banks on April 17, 1938. He was number eight out of a family of 12.
Levurn Banks attended school in Helena, Arkansas graduated and joined the Navy at the age of 18 years old. He was stationed at various bases, around the world.
Lee Banks Married Bonnie Banks in 1967, Lee professed his life at an early age to Christ, The Family moved to Alameda, California where he joined the Church of Christ. He Loved working in the church and cherished praising the Lord. Serving on several committees.
NAACP and always enjoyed helping others. Lee retired from the Navy after 20 years of Service. Also retired 23 years from Goodyear Service.
Lee always loved to read his bible, praying and always wore a smile. He was a loving and caring person devoted husband, Brother, Uncle Father, Grandfather Dada, (AKA Blue Eyes), and Great Grand Father. To know him is to Love him.
Lee leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife Bonnie Banks and his children Melvin Banks and April Ashford. 10 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephew cousin and Friends
A Funeral service for Levurn will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. Mc Cabe Rd., Santa Nella, CA 95322.
