Born to Karl and Alma Peterson in San Pedro on May 20, 1925, Lorraine was a 1943 graduate of San Pedro High School.
After graduation, Lorraine went to work for the United States Government and spent most of her clerical career with the U.S. Navy and the Los Angeles City School system.
Lorraine is survived by her only child, Ralph Wood, his wife Deborah, and grandchildren Adam and Vanessa.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the North Chapel of Rolling Hills Covenant Church, Rolling Hills Estates, CA
Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
