I remember Lynn going To Motley, MN school with him! So sorry for your loss. What a great picture! RIP Lynn!! 

Working in the construction industry I had always  heard about Lynn. It was well known that he was one of the best bridge builders around. I was fortunate to join Lynn at Agee Construction in 2017. I was amazed at all the projects that Lynn and the Agee team completed. Seeing  all the pictures in the office, hearing the stories of how they completed some of these difficult projects was incredibly facilitating to me. I could see Lynn was very passionate about his family, friends, his craft, hot rods, & motorcycles. I’m thankful for our time together. 

Lynn was a Friend to many. I had the pleasure of working with him in the Construction Industry over the years. Professional, Honest and a Man’s Man.
He was also a near by neighbor at his Shaver retreat and ‘Castle’.
May God Richly Bless you My Friend and give His Peace and Comfort to your Family and All who had the Blessing of knowing you.

Thank you uncle Lynn for all the work ethic and memories you have shared with me. I will forever miss you and remember all you’ve done for me. 

 A bigger THANK YOU than I know how to express for all of you who came to celebrate Lynn’s life, with many tears and much laughter! My only regret is that there wasn’t time to hear stories, memories etc. from every one of you!! Lynn was the Superintendent for Agee up on a Generals Highway project in Sequoia NP in ‘06/‘07.  I was the Project Engineer for FHWA that worked with him every day.  He ran a tight ship building form-lined walls hanging off the side of the mountain.   His technical knowledge and skill were very impressive, but not the most impressive part of him in my estimation.   As we would walk through the project discussing the business at hand ,his eyes never left the workers. He knew each one and what each one needed (a quiet atta boy, instruction, or a chewin out for anyone Mickey Mouse’en it). It was a true lesson in leadership for me. He was up front and honest in all our dealings. He represented Agee well (often pointing out he wasn’t up there to lose money) while never playing games.  He was there to deliver a quality project and develop quality people. He showed daily he cared deeply about both.   He would get frustrated, as anyone who cares about what they are doing will, but it was offset by a sense of humor that made itself heard, often echoing off the mountain in his distinctive and unforgettable laugh.   
Lynn was a Vikings fan. Coming from WI, I tried my best to convert him to the house of Lambeau, but with no success.  So shortly before the final inspection of the project we made a friendly wager.  The Packers won. I had my satisfaction, so I told him he didn’t really need to wear my hard hat at the final inspection.  He said “a bet is a bet”.  
He showed up wearing the hard hat… and some false rotten teeth (I assume from MN 🤣)!  He kept spittin and drooling and saying “nooow I’m a paaackeeers faaan” It was hilarious. 
 Lynn was the best Superintendent/PM  I have had the pleasure to work with.  He was always a true stand-up-guy.  To listen to his children and sister eulogize him today was truly beautiful.   To imagine the number of people he has served as an example to, instructed, developed, mentored, and loved gives me hope about this crazy world we live in.

I was privileged to grow up having Lynn as my uncle and have countless memories from Sunday mornings in the Fall watching football to building soapbox cars to race out at Woodward Park. He was always so giving, in fact, he unknowingly donated what became my first beer at a camping trip at Huntington Lake (sorry mom). 

Uncle Lynn led an impressive life and I have undoubtedly benefitted from his lessons and true generosity. The messages shared here and expressed during his service only reinforce this sentiment.

Keep the rubber down and the shiny side up!

Met Lynn many years ago, through Kevin.  First met Lynn up at his Shaver Lake cabin.  Worked a day moving/ stacking firewood.  Quickly realized Lynn’s drive and excellent work ethic.  Grew to know his caring personality too.  Such a good soul.  He will be missed.

I first met Lynn right after Jeremiah was born. When he took me to the garage to show off all of his projects, I was a bit intimidated to say the least. It seemed that there was not much that he did not know how to do. I remember being very impressed by the Ford F-100 pickup, his Harley, and the many woodworking projects packed into his tiny garage. When we first hired Lynn at Agee Construction, I was quickly reminded again that there was not much that he could not do. When bidding a difficult project, Lynn would always tell me” You just get it and I will build it”. He always kept his word, regardless of how difficult the project. That is why when Lynn first told me he had cancer, and that he was going to beat it, I did not doubt him for a minute. Although Lynn never stopped believing, this is probably the only promise that Lynn ever made to me that he could not keep. You will be missed, but never forgotten. I will be reminded of you every time I see one of the bridges you built, or I pass a Harley or a corvette. Rest-in-Peace brother!

I won't be attending tomorrow as I have to work up on HWY 245. I want you to know I admired and loved Lynn. I spent some time with him off and on while I was paving Hwy 168 from Shaver to Huntington. I got to go through his home and the guest house he was remodeling, the guy was beyond talented as I already knew working side by side with him for many years. Packers V Minnesota….I won a quit a few 12 packs..🤣🤣🤣.
Ive never respected another structure Superintendent more than Lynn. Im sadden by All of our loss, however, I smile in appreciation he brought to All. I can honestly say, there hasn't been nor will there ever be another Stuart to the industry as He was. He will always be celebrated. Debra sends her Love. 

I first met Lynn 30 years ago working for Agee Construction. I was building a 3 million gallon water tank/pump station for the City of Clovis on Tollhouse Rd when Marshall told me he was hiring a carpenter Forman for me, Lynn had finished building the Fresno County Jail and we needed a scaffolding and wall guy. ( I didn’t know at the time Lynn had gone back to Minnesota to look for work but had been calling Alan wanting to come back to California).   
That morning a long haired bearded guy came riding up on his Harley with his mail bags strapped to the back and my first thought was ..who in the heck is this…Hi you doing, my name is Lynn Allred!    After showing him around,letting him see what we had going on he went to work.     Of course I had to call Marshall and ask who in the heck did you hire me???   Oh just give him a chance he is suppose to be good!
      It did not take over a day and I knew we had a keeper.  I have never doubted Lynn again.     For the next 30 years Lynn and I either worked side by side or were on separate jobs for Agee Construction building bridges from Santa Cruz to Modesto to Bakersfield and all over the Central Valley.   Many years were spent in Sequoia National Park rebuilding Generals Highway! There was nothing Lynn wouldn’t do or a challenge he wouldn’t take!!  
    Until about two years ago he told me he has cancer growing in his pancreas.   Wouldn’t you know it I had been diagnosed with prostate cancer about the same time.  Over the next year or so we both thought we had it beat (of course we all know you never have it beat!).   Lynn called me one afternoon to say Clovis Community just called him and they want to see him now!   So he left The job site in Turlock and got the bad news it was back.   Thru all this and the year to follow Lynn would never give up the fight. It wasn’t in his DNA to give up on anything!!!!   But as we know neither would cancer…CANCER SUCKS.     I love you dude and miss you…until we meet again!
    


Only a short time to make memories but they will last a lifetime. 

I don’t have too much to say except he reminded me a lot of my dad that I lost some time ago and Lynn was always just “that guy” you could always shoot the bs with along with serious stuff. And  to Lynn, prayers for the comfortable repose of his soul, and the absolute comfort of God’s love over the entire family…❤️ Go with God brother and keep the shiny side up.👍

I remember Lynn as a member of my band at the Motley School.   I am glad I could keep up with his life through our Motley School Friends FB group and his brother.   My sympathy to the family.

Uncle Lynn was my favorite uncle, I always loved going to his house and seeing the motorcycles and cool cars, I would always tell everyone about his handlebar mustache. I just thought that was the coolest ever, I never knew anyone else that was quite like uncle Lynn. Everytime I was in fresno with my family I would always ask my dad to take me to my uncles house! He always did. I am so glad we got to video chat the other day and you got to meet my daughter!! we love you. ❤️

Lynn and I first met in the end of the 80s at Fresno county jail project when I told him there can only be one load mouth Foreman. I am a Rod buster and was running  the rebar for the project. After that we became friends then worked together on many projects while he was at  Agee. We became the best of friends though out our many projects, then he went we me on my annual fishing trip to Cabo where we got even closer. He had an amazing mind the must talented bridge builder and master craftsman in the business. I love you my friend and will aways miss you. Our working together and our trips to Mexico will always be my favorite thoughts. Our paths will cross again. You be ready for a big hug my brother. 

My name is Eddie Trejo I am a union carpenter that has 26 years in I began my journey in 1996 when I was 19 years old I was called out by the union I began working that morning  In Kalinga California  he had told me “kid  u keep working like that u will be working for a very long time with me “so 10 years later  I began a journey on my own I began to put the tools that he had tough me which was to work hard  be a leader Lynn was a be part in my career and to this day I still use those tools thank u Lynn for teaching me everything thing I needed to no to be successful u will be missed “Boss” I will always be “hot rod”  Rest In Peace Lynn  u will always be remembered and I will finish this career in ur name !!!!

I once asked Lynn  what his favorite thing about construction was. His response was immediate. I cannot quote exactly what he said. But in general, he stated that he enjoyed being the leader of men, and teaching, guiding and mentoring. It was not so much the words themselves, but the conviction in his eyes and voice that almost jolted me. Lynn had a very big impact on me in a very short amount of time.

I am proud to be named after my uncle Lynn and proud to have passed his name on to my daughter, Emilee Lynn and my youngest son, Anthony Lynn jr. I always looked up to him and saw him as a man to take wisdom from by watching his actions. I only wish we could have spent more time together. 

Thank you for introducing me and my girls to the Christmas tree lighting up in shaver one of my most favorite memories is going with you guys and it will never be the same without you there.
