Malla is predceded in death by his parents, Jawala Singh Purewal and Beant Kaur Purewal, wife Surjit Kaur Purewal and brother Santokh Singh Purewal.
He is survived by his son, Balraj S. Purewal and his wife Karamjit; daughter, Jasvinder Kaur Chhina and her husband Satbir S. Chhina M.D.; sisters, Gurdeep K. Gill and her husband Joginder S. Gill, and Charnjit K. Mahal and her husband Gurdip S. Mahal; nephews, Sukhjit S. Purewal D.D.S., Harnak S. Gill and Gagandeep S. Mahal; nieces, Guljit K. Rai, Sukhdev K. Dhariwal, Inderjit K. Mahil, Tandip K. Frits, Rasandeep K. Boyal and Roopa K. Shoop; grandsons, Naunnihal S. Chhina and Sultan S. Purewal; granddaughters, Shanaz K. Purewal, Jasnaz K. Purewal and Amrit K. Chhina; and brothers-in-law Nirmal, Kewal and Amrik S. Johal; with respect to all cousins and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at Tinkler Funeral Chapel & Crematory on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.
