“Midge”
Midge was born September 26, 1920 to William Henson and Florence Ladner Henson in Riverdale, Ca. She died at the age of 94 on Thursday, January 15, 2015.
Midge grew up in Riverdale and moved to Fresno to attend Fresno State where she earned her BA. She met Barrie Canfield in college and they married September 21, 1944, and remained in Fresno the rest of their lives.
Midge enjoyed sewing, crafts and jelly making. She was a member of the La Comida Guild for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barrie. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Craig Seibert; her son Jim; and her grandsons, Blake and Brian Seibert.
The family would like to express thanks to the Bella Vista Memory Care Community for the loving care Midge received the last 15 months of her life.
A graveside service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Monday from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Remembrances may be made to Valley Children’s Hospital.
