Maria worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for Fresno Community Hospital in 1952 and retired in 1984.
She married her love at first sight partner, Pedro Martin and lost him to Hodgkin's Disease 25 years later.
Her long-time friend Hope Fierro wishes to thank the nursing staff at Sierra Vista Health Center.
She was also preceded in death by her only son, Manuel Garcia; her parents; and all her siblings.
There are no known survivors.
A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
