Marie Theresa Palermo, age 86, passed away on March 6, 2022 in Madera, CA. Born in Brooklyn, NY on January 17, 1936, to Rocco and Mary Imbriale, Marie married Joseph E. Palermo on November 5, 1960. Marie and Joe moved with their family to Fresno, CA in 1982, before Joe’s death in 2004. Marie loved her family and friends as they were her world. She regularly volunteered at the American Cancer Society DIscovery Shop in Fresno, CA for several years.
Marie is survived by her two daughters, Dawn Palermo Hunt and Patricia Palermo, and granddaughter Clarissa. Marie also leaves behind son-in law Andy, husband of Patricia, and great granddaughter Ava Marie, daughter of Clarissa and her husband Anthony.
A Funeral service for Marie will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Peter's Cemtery, 264 N. Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
