Mario Kim Reyna was born on August 19, 1975, in Tacoma, Washington. He entered this world, to the delight of, his proud and happy parents, Benino and Oksun Reyna. Mario's father was in the U.S. Army at the time, so it might be said that Mario was an Army brat. The Army is here today, gone tomorrow, and Mario was no exception. He spent three years in Germany and a couple more in Kansas, where his ister Ruby, was born. With orders for Korea, the family moved to Fresno, California. The dad moved on to his new assignment, leaving the Army, the family moved into their own apartment.
Mario did very well in elementary school, and then things changed in middle school. He became rebellious and troubled. The family bought and moved into their own home, but Mario contrinued to have many challenges. Somewhere along the way Mario found Jessica, they had a son, Christopher. As a son and a grandson Christopher brought much happiness to all parties concerned. Time moves along but relationships sometimes don't. Mario and Jessica went their own way, however, they committed themselves to being the best of friends. Their friendship was based on Christopher's well being, and always being there for him, and raising him to be a fine young man. Today, Christopher is a fine young man. They did their job the best they knew how and they were always there for Chris.
Mario loved his son very much and they did many things together, but could be that Mario was still lonely. Along came Grace, and with Mario's life of many struggles, she accepted him into her life. She cared about Chris just as much as she cared about her own kids. When it was Mario's weekend for having Chris over, or any time Chris was over, it was just one more chance for family bonding. Mario wanted to father another child and then little Macy came along and really united everyone as a family. He took good care of Macy, she was very fond of her father. Now Mario had his place to call home. With a good car in the front, his barbecue in the back and two dogs in the yard, Mario had it good. Even with so many setbacks in his life, Mario had many, many friends. They were not just friends, they were people who loved and cared about him very much. On January 23, 2013, Mario passed away. Your army of friends will forever miss you, because you will live in the hearts of so many. God loves you and you'll always be a beautiful son.
My dearest son, I will love you forever, Your loving father.
