Joseph was a typical brother he could pick on the girls but nobody else could! Once cherice dropped her ice cream and Joseph gave her his and Marissa about 4 years old tried to give Joseph hers ❤️ yes I think the 3 siblings balanced each other out, and now cherice and Joseph need to continue being there for each other just like Marissa would have wanted. I miss and I will  ALWAYS miss Marissa but I think I’m really lucky just like all of you to have known her.  I can’t imagine how broken Jack and Ida are, but I hope they know how much their daughter loved them. There’s no doubt in my mind that Scruffy met her at the gate, and their playing and watching out over the rest of the family.  I also believe that we’ll meet again, until then big hugs and kisses Marissa we’ll love you to eternity 


Marissa was the sweetest girl I’ve ever met! Not because she was our granddaughter but because she was so kind. From the time she was born she was quiet (unless provoked then her kindness became kick ass!) her temperament mixed good with her sisters outgoing crazy personality. When they were 2-4 they’d go at each other Ida used to say why don’t  you stop them? They always worked it out and would be giggling and playing 10 minutes later! When the girls were in soccer we’d tag team ida usually had to work so Jack would go to one school and Glenn and I to another. I can’t remember what girl Jack was with at Tarpey one Saturday but he almost whipped the coaches ass! We did a kid swap in the middle of the games!! The girls wanted a pink bedroom Jack painted the whole room bright pink! Sometimes I’d go over to pick up the girls I’d pick up their room and put stuff away. One day I was throwing the laundry in a pile and I said I don’t know why it’s so effing hard for you girls to pick up your clothes. Marissa was sitting on her bed and all sweet she says,‘I don’t know Nana but you just threw my rabbit across the room’! God I felt bad.  Our grandson Cody has always said Marissa was his favorite sister! Once Cherice had a sleep over in a tent in the backyard Cody wanted to stay so bad but cherice yelled no boys! He said that’s why Marissa is my favorite sister cherice! Ida was very protective of Marissa she was the baby. I was the first one to ever get to babysit! We had always watched cherice but Ida was nervous when it came to the baby. Marissa didn’t even cry slept like a baby. One night ida and Jack were going out and dropped off the girls they had forgot their blankies, and they both wailed like someone had cut off their hands!  Jack drove all the way back to their house and got the blankies and brought to our house! Joseph was a typical brother he could pick on the girls Joseph was a typical brother he could pick on the girls but nobody else could!

Many remember you as the kindest girl in school, or the girl with beautiful eyes and the most contagious smile. But, I will remember you as my best friend.  Thank you for every hug, laugh, and loving moment we shared. I will never forget you. You were an integral part of my childhood and I am happy to just have met you. Love you always Rissy. 

This picture shows the beginning of a beautiful friendship that my daughter had with both girls ❤ Marissa may be gone but will never be forgotten! I pray for the whole family and a extra prayer for Cherice because I know she must be broken inside. 

My sister was such an amazing, kind and loving soul. We spent everyday together growing up me and cherice… making her do her homework after picking them up from school … dinner time all that was mostly me and my kid sisters. Whether it was Wrestling in the front room, going to Hollywood video to rent movies while we were stuck at home we always had a good time.  I’ll cherish these memories and moment in my mind forever and ever.  I love you marissa Arlene and I can’t wait to see you again up there. Rest easy my baby sister till we meet again. 

I don't even know where to start! Marissa spent a lot of time at our house and went with us to quite a few places from Vegas cheer competitions to fun days at the beach. Marissa, Kalie and Cherice were the best of friends growing up next door to each other and I will always remember and cherish those childhood memories ❤️
