i just found out today that Mark has passed.  I just couldn't believe it.  Mark and I started in Kindergarten together, the one sister I knew Joanie was an amazing person,  I am sure she still is.  Mark,  I will always remember you.  I am sad.   God bless to the family.

I had the pleasure of working with Mark periodically over the last few years and he will be sorely missed. Our conversations were mainly about work; however, I was aware of his passion to cook for his family. On one of the last projects we worked on together, I was made aware of a few of his other hobbies. He spoke freely about the professional  dancing lessons he’d enjoyed with his wife and I was really looking forward to talking to him more about knife and axe throwing. My condolences to his family. Mark, A.K.A. Airgardo, or Gordo, what a guy;  a Firefighter extraordinaire,  Bailiff, Deputy Sheriff,  Sargent in the Air National Guard,  Public Safety Officer at the Freson  Airport, a Knight of the round table, a mentor, a friend, a gourmet cook, a man with a rapier like wit coupled with a mischievous smile that could deliver a joke at any occasion guaranteed to make you smile if not laugh out loud; even though you know it is not the appropriate time and/ or place.   You did what every real man should do, left this world a better place than you found it. Thank you for being my go to firefighter when I was in over my head at the Airport.  Behind that sarcastic smirk of yours is all class. I know your family is hurting more than I am and their tears will flow for a long time to come. I had to go get a towel just so I could finish typing this. We will meet again Mark, and I'll buy the first beer, that is if you teach me a new limerick.  I am keeping some of your jokes alive being carful not to get myself in trouble over any sexual harassment issues. I guess I'm not quite as manly as you.  Love you Mark, my prayers for you and your family.
